Speaky is a language exchange platform that helps people learn languages by connecting them with other users around the world.

Unlike your profile picture, the Verification Photo is never displayed to other users and is used only for the purposes described in Section 5 of this Privacy Policy.

photographs shared between users when both users have agreed to enable photo sharing;

We may also use automated tools together with other verification measures to help assess whether a user appears to satisfy the minimum age requirement for using the Services.
The Verification Photo is not used for advertising, marketing or to identify you across other applications, services or databases.
Verification Photos are retained while your account remains active and are deleted when your account is deleted, subject to any legal obligations requiring a longer retention period.
We use automated technologies to help operate, protect and improve the Services.
These technologies may assist us in detecting abuse, preventing fraud, verifying account authenticity, assessing compliance with the minimum age requirement and maintaining the security of the platform.
Where automated tools are used, they are intended to assist our decision-making processes. We do not rely solely on automated processing to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects without appropriate human oversight where required by applicable law.
